Danish artist Rasmus Refer is a fast-rising figure within contemporary art, gaining international attention for his distinctive visual language combining geometry and sculptural abstraction. He has recently exhibited at Enter Art Fair (Copenhagen) and Art Berlin. Rasmus primarily works with sculptures and reliefs in steel, acrylic, and granite. His new series consists of 40 reliefs constructed from 16 recurring “U” forms. The works combine canvas, acrylic paint, pastel colours, fluorescent paint, and Musou Black paint with sculptural elements produced in:
- Anodized aluminum
- Corten steel
- Mirror-polished steel
Available formats:
- 50 × 50 cm
- 60 × 80 cm
- 80 × 80 cm
- 100 × 100 cm
Through repetition, deep black surfaces, pastel tones, fluorescent colours, and reflective materials, the works create changing visual experiences shaped by light, shadow, and perception.
The complete series will be exhibited in Copenhagen in late September 2026. A PDF featuring a selection of the relief works is attached. https://rasmusrefer.com/artworks2026 For previews, catalog material, and gallery collaborations, please get in touch by email: rasmus.refer@gmail.com or phone: +45 20300606
